How to update your Chess.com account email
If you've stopped using or lost access to the email address linked to your account, you might want to update it. Here’s how to do it:
Web
Click 'Settings' in the menu at the bottom left corner of any Chess.com page.
Click 'Account' from the menu on the right side of the settings page. Locate the 'Contact Info' section and click the 'Edit' button next to your email address.
Alternatively, if you're logged in, use this link: https://www.chess.com/settings/change-email
This will take you to the Change Email screen, where you can enter your current password and new email. Click 'Save' to apply the changes.
Once you've made the change, we'll send a confirmation email to your new address. Simply click the link in the email to verify and activate it.
iOS
Tap 'More' in the bottom-right menu and select 'Settings.'
In the settings menu, tap 'Account,' and then the arrow next to your current email address.
Enter your new email address, and tap 'Change Email' to save your changes!
Currently, Android users cannot update their email address within the app but can easily do so through a mobile browser.
