Clearing your Firefox Browser Cache
The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites you visit in order to speed up your browsing experience. This article describes how to clear the cache.

Clear the cache
- Click the menu button and choose 'Options'
- Select 'Privacy and Security' on the left
- In the Cookies and Site Data section, click 'Clear Data'
- In the pop up window that appears, make sure 'Cached Web Content' is checked, then click 'Clear'
- Close the options page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
Automatically clear the cache
You can set Firefox to automatically clear the cache when Firefox closes:
- Click the menu button and choose 'Options'
- Select 'Privacy and Security' on the left
- In the Cookies and Site Data section, select the checkbox for Delete Cookies and Site History when Firefox closes.
- Select the checkbox for Clear history when Firefox closes.
- Close the options page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
