Change how your pieces move on Chess.com
You can customize many aspects of your Chess.com experience, including how your chess pieces move during a game.

Click the cogwheel icon in the bottom-left corner of any Chess.com page and select 'All Settings.'
Open the 'Boards & Pieces' settings page, and scroll down to the 'Board Effect' section.
Here, you can disable 'Piece Animation' to play without animations, or keep it enabled and select your preferred animation style using the available options.
The Arcade animation style uses additional graphical resources and may reduce performance on some devices. For the best experience, enable Hardware Acceleration in your browser settings.
Android
Piece animations are currently not available on the iOS app.
Tap 'More' in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Tap 'Settings,' then select 'Board.'
Tap 'Piece Animation' and choose your preferred animation style.
