Avatars on Chess.com

All kinds of avatars are allowed on Chess.com, as long as they don't have any of the following content:

Avatars must NOT contain

  • Gore, blood, or other bodily fluids.

  • Hate symbols, pictures of war criminals, depictions of murder, or other criminal acts/illegal substances.

  • Profanity in any language (including ASL and 'flipping someone off' or other insulting gestures) or racial slurs.

  • Full nudity, pornographic images.

  • Pornographic cartoons or anime (hentai/ecchi.)

  • Strategically covered nudity, sheer or see-through clothing, lewd undergarments, or provocative poses (cartoons included.)

  • Close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches (cartoons included.)

  • Unauthorized copyrighted material.

  • Pictures mocking or impersonating another Chess.com member.

  • Political or religious references.

While the above is clearly against our rules, we also reserve the right to change any other avatar that we think has been chosen specifically to cause hurt or discomfort or to 'troll' other members.

πŸ“ Avatars that violate our guidelines will be removed. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions or closure.
