If you want to check who the top-rated players are, you can find a list on Chess.com, with live updates!
To see who the top players are, hover over 'News' on the left side menu of any Chess.com page and select 'Chess Rankings.'
Here you can see who the top players in the world are, updated with every change in rating. The rankings are organized by classical rating by default, but you can click 'Rapid' or 'Blitz' to see the ranking in those formats.
The ratings listed here are official FIDE ratings, not the player's Chess.com rating.
You can also click on each player's name to see their full profile and stats, and to read their bio.
