Pausing lines on Chess.com courses
Pausing a line allows you to temporarily stop receiving review prompts for that line. You can unpause it at any time and start reviewing it again.
This feature is helpful if you've decided to stop studying a particular line or if you're choosing between two equivalent alternatives and want to avoid confusion.
For instance, if a course recommends both 5. Nf3 and 5.Bc5, both good moves in the same position, but to build a course you should stick with one (especially at non-master level!).
