All Daily tournaments on Chess.com are simultaneous round-robin knockout tournaments with groups. As TD, you will select how many players are per group, and the computer will decide who plays who.
Players advance through the groups until there is a single group remaining. The winner of the final group is the tournament champion, regardless of their overall points in the standings.
Since players earn points each round, the final tournament winner may not have the most points overall.
