How do I turn on or off Timestamps?
Timestamps show how much time was taken for each move played. You can see them next to the move for each move on the moves list, in Live chess and Daily chess:
In the above image, you can see the seconds take by black and white for each move, with a longer bar for more time taken. In a Daily game the number of hours or days would be shown.
If you want to disable this feature, you can do so in your Live chess, or Daily chess settings.
Click on the settings gear on the bottom left corner of the page to go to your settings page, then choose Live chess or Daily chess, or click one of the below links to go directly there:
https://www.chess.com/settings/live
https://www.chess.com/settings/daily
From either of these menus, find the 'Timestamps' setting:
Note: In the Live Chess settings, you may have to scroll down to see this setting.
Choose 'Never' to disable timestamps completely, or 'Archive Only' if you only want to see the timestamps after the game is done.
After updating the setting, don't forget to click save!
