Speedrunning on Chess.com
Speedrunning accounts are only available to partnered streamers. If you are a partnered streamer and want to set up a speedrunning account, please reach out to your contact for more information.
Official speedrun accounts for streamers are closely monitored, clearly labeled, and all rating points lost during speedruns are returned to their opponents:
What's not allowed
If you are not a partnered streamer, changing your account details (such as username, 'About Me' section, or profile status) to falsely appear as an 'authorized speedrun account' is strictly prohibited and considered impersonation, which violates our User Agreement.
Creating new accounts just to speedrun to a certain rating is not allowed and will likely result in the account being banned.
How do I become a partnered streamer?
If you are actively streaming chess and have started to build a following, you can apply to become a Chess.com Streamer by filling out the form here.
Requirements:
At least 1,000 followers/subscribers on your main platform or an established reputation in the chess community.
Your main streaming platform is Twitch, YouTube, or Kick.
Partners must be consistent chess content creators and create live-streamed chess content at least 10 hours a month.
After joining the program, any chess content shared on all platforms should be created exclusively on Chess.com or its affiliated websites (Chessable, Aimchess, etc.).
After joining the program, Chess.com's logo must be displayed on all chess-related content.
The majority of the creator’s content should be 'family-friendly' and follow Content Guidelines for both Chess.com and your platform of choice.
Due to the high number of applications, we cannot respond to everyone. If you are not accepted, we encourage you to continue growing your channel and reapply after a few months.
