Chess.com mobile widgets
Our mobile widgets give you a quick and easy way to stay connected to your chess activity. They let you see your Daily Puzzle, track your streak, or start a game right from your home screen.
When installing, you can choose from three widget types: Your Move, Play, and Streak. You can also select between two formats: full-width or square.
The Chess.com widgets are currently available only for Android users. iOS coming soon!
Installation guide
Android
Go to your home screen.
Long-press an empty space or the Chess.com app icon until a menu appears.
Select 'Widgets' from the options.
Find the Chess.com widget you want and tap 'Add.'
Drag the widget to your preferred spot on the home screen and release it to place it.
iOS
Coming soon!
Tap and hold an empty area on your home screen until the apps start to jiggle.
Tap the + button in the top-left corner.
Scroll or search to find Chess.com in the list.
Swipe left to see available sizes and styles.
Tap 'Add Widget' and place it where you like. Tap 'Done' when finished!
Available widgets
Your Move
This widget shows when it is your turn in a Daily Game. Tap anywhere on it to open the game. The background will turn red if you are low on time. If you are waiting for your opponent, it will display 'Waiting…'. If you have no active Daily Games, it will suggest starting a new one.
Play
This widget allows you to quickly start a game using your most recent time control. Just tap to play!
Streak
This widget helps you track your learning or play streak. A gray streak appears if you have not extended it yet for the day, while a colorful streak appears once you have. The current day is always highlighted in the center.
Tap anywhere on the widget to open the app and keep your streak going!
