How do I use Game Collections?

Learn how to create, manage, and share Game Collections on Chess.com to organize your saved games, analysis, and community collections.

You can find your saved games and analyses in Game Collections within Analysis.

At the top of the right-side panel, use the tabs to switch between:

  • Your Collections

  • Shared with You

  • Community Collections

You can sort collections alphabetically or by most recently added using the 'Sort' drop-down at the top.

How to create a new Game Collection

To create a new collection, click 'New' at the top of the right-side panel. From there, you can:

  • Name your collection

  • Choose whether it’s Private, Public, or Shared

  • Add participants and assign them as Viewers or Editors

Once your collection is created, click 'Add Games' to start adding content. You’ll be taken to the Analysis page, where you can enter moves manually, set up a position, load a game from your Game History, import a study, paste a FEN or PGN.

To add games to an existing collection, open the collection and click 'Add Games' at the top of the right panel. At the top of the right panel you can also find these options:

  • Edit collection details

  • Search for specific games using the magnifying glass

  • Generate a shareable link

  • Select games for specific actions

Community Collections

Community Collections are created and shared by other Chess.com members. If you want to save one for later, click the bookmark icon next to the collection.

To view your bookmarked collections, click 'View' at the top of the right panel and filter by 'My Bookmarks.'
