How can I play with a smart board on Chess.com?

Supported smart boards

If you have an electronic smart board, you can use it to play games on Chess.com!

Below is a list of the smart boards we currently support:

  • ChessUp 2 Board

  • DGT Pegasus

  • Millennium King Performance - Requires a separate ChessLink module

  • Millennium Exclusive - Requires a separate ChessLink module

  • Millennium Supreme Tournament - Requires a separate ChessLink module

  • Millennium E-One board

If you have one of these devices, follow the steps below to learn how to connect it and play games on your account.

Electronic boards are supported on the Chess.com website and on Android devices, but they’re not currently supported on iOS.

How to play on Chess.com with an electronic board

Web

  1. Hover over 'Play' in the left menu, and select 'Play' from the options. This will take you to the Play Online screen.

  2. Click the cogwheel icon ('Settings') outside the upper right corner of the board.

  3. Select the 'Board' tab in the pop-up menu, and scroll to the bottom to enable the DGT board. Click 'Save' to control your games using your electronic board.

Android

  1. Tap 'More' from the menu at the bottom of your screen and choose 'Settings.'

  2. Select 'Connected Boards.'

  3. If it's your first time connecting, you'll be prompted to give the Chess.com app permission to access Bluetooth. Tap on the message to grant permission.

  4. After granting permission, you'll see a list of nearby Bluetooth devices to connect to. If your board isn't listed, make sure it's turned on and Bluetooth is activated.

  5. Select your device from the list, and you are ready to go!
