Ads on Chess.com
All members, including premium members, may occasionally see Chess.com promotional content on the main page and other areas of the site. These include banners for Chess.com events (such as the Speed Chess Championship), tournaments, or ads for our own products and partners like ChessKid, Dr. Wolf Teaches Chess, and Chessable.
Premium members will never see third-party ads or banner ads served through Google Ads, like the ones below:
If you recently upgraded to Premium and still see third-party ads, try signing out and back in.
How to hide the Chess.com promotional ads
As a Premium member, you can now hide promotional content on the main page and other areas of the site for a completely ad-free experience.
Click 'Settings' in the bottom-left menu on any Chess.com page.
Select 'Notifications' from the left sidebar.
Toggle 'Show Chess.com promotions' off.
To turn them back on, simply toggle the option again.
This feature is currently available only on the web and will be coming to the mobile apps soon.
