How to withdraw from a Daily Tournament

Withdrawing from an active Daily tournament will automatically resign all ongoing games. If more than 4 moves have been played, this will affect your rating. Even games with no moves will appear as losses in your history.

To withdraw:

  • Visit the tournament's homepage

  • Click 'Withdraw' on the right-hand side

How to withdraw from a Live Tournament

Keep in mind that once you withdraw from a tournament, you cannot rejoin, even if it hasn’t started yet. If the round has started, withdrawing will resign any active games.

To withdraw:

  • Click the 'X' on the tournament tab

  • Confirm by selecting 'Yes' in the popup

Mobile

Follow these steps to withdraw from a tournament on the Chess.com mobile app:

  • Tap 'Play' on the main screen

  • Select 'Tournaments'

  • Under the 'Joined' list, tap the tournament you wish to withdraw from and tap the 'X'

  • Click 'Yes' in the pop-up message:
