How do I follow or un-follow someone?

Learn how to manage the members you follow and receive alerts only from those you want to stay updated with!

Updated yesterday

When you add someone as a friend, you both automatically follow each other. However, you can unfollow someone without removing them as a friend, or follow someone without adding them as a friend.

By following someone, you’ll receive notifications whenever they share new content, such as articles, blog posts, or forum topics. These alerts will show up in the 'Activity' section of the left menu when you hover over the Chess.com logo.
