Chess.com tournaments

We’re always adding new tournaments and events, so there’s always one happening at any time of day! Keeping track of them all can be tricky, but you can easily find the tournament schedule for today by visiting the Tournaments page and clicking the 'Schedule' tab.

If you prefer to plan ahead, you can access a full list of upcoming tournaments on Chess.com through the three Google Calendars below.

Swiss tournaments

Swiss tournaments work similarly to Round-Robin tournaments, with no player eliminations. Every participant plays each round, and the player with the highest score at the end wins.

Arena tournaments

Arena Tournaments are fast-paced, action-packed events where your goal is to earn as many points as possible within a set time limit. Unlike traditional tournaments, there are no rounds—players are continuously paired after each game until the timer runs out.
