How Arena tournaments work

Pairings

In an Arena Tournament, you’ll be paired with opponents as close to your rating as possible, with the goal of giving you games quickly. Start your games as soon as possible to get the most wins, and points possible!

Scoring system

Points are awarded based on the outcome of each game:

  • Win: 2 points

  • Draw: 1 point

  • Loss: 0 points

Win streaks

If you win multiple games in a row, the value of each successive win increases:

  • 2nd consecutive win: 3 points

  • 3rd consecutive win and beyond: 4 points per win

Determining the winner

The winner of the Arena Tournament is the player with the most points when the timer runs out. In case of a tie:

  1. The player with the longest win streak will be declared the winner.

  2. If still tied, the player with the most wins will win.

  3. If there is still a tie, the player with the fewest losses will be declared the winner.
