If you're noticing that playing on the Chess.com app significantly impacts your battery life, there are a couple of settings you can customize to improve your device's performance.
Here are some effective ways to extend your mobile battery life while enjoying the app:
Disabling Haptic Feedback
The haptic feedback feature makes your device vibrate when a move is made and when time is running low in your game. While this feature is extremely helpful for keeping track of your game's status, it can consume a lot of battery power.
To conserve battery life, you can easily disable one or both haptic feedback options.

Lowering the Analysis Engine Max Time
The engine max time determines how long the computer thinks about each position when analyzing a game. While longer analysis times provide stronger engine insights, they also consume more power.
To help conserve battery life, consider lowering the engine max time:
Tap Analysis on the bottom menu when reviewing a game.
Tap the cog wheel icon at the upper right corner of the Analysis screen.
