How do I update the Chess.com mobile app?

Why should I update?

We regularly release updates to the app that include bug fixes and new features. Keeping your app up to date helps ensure you're playing on the most stable and polished version available.

To update your app, please follow the steps below:

iOS

  1. Open the App Store, and tap your profile icon at the top right

  2. Scroll down to find Chess.com in the list

  3. If an update is available, tap 'Update.'

Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon and select 'Manage apps & device'

  3. Look for Chess.com and tap 'Update.'
