How do I manage my inbox?

If you send or receive a lot of messages on Chess.com, organizing your inbox can help! Here's how to delete, archive, and restore messages.

How to manage your Chess.com inbox

To access your inbox, hover over the Chess.com logo in the top left corner of any page and click 'Messages.' This will open your inbox, where your most recent messages will appear at the top. To reply to a message, simply open it, type in the text box, and press 'Send.'

How to archive messages

You can archive a conversation by clicking the 'Archive' icon in the top right corner, which will move the conversation to your Archive folder and remove it from your main inbox.

If you want to archive all conversations at once, simply click the archive icon next to 'All Messages' at the bottom of your message list.

How to view your archived messages

To view your archived messages, click the 'Archive' tab at the top of your messages list. To restore an archived message to your inbox, open the message and click the 'Restore' icon in the upper right corner.

How do I delete a message?

To delete a single message in a conversation, click the 'X' on the right side of the message. This will remove only that message while keeping the rest of the conversation intact.

If you want to delete an entire conversation, click the 'Delete this conversation' icon in the upper right corner of your inbox to remove all messages within that conversation.

To delete all conversations in your inbox at once, click the delete icon next to 'All Messages' at the bottom of your message list.
