Timestamps on Chess.com

Timestamps visually show the time taken for each move in a game. They're shown next to each move in the moves list, in both Live chess and Daily chess.

The duration of time taken by each player for every move is depicted by the length of colored bars, where longer bars signify more time consumed.

๐Ÿ’ก For Daily games, the time may be represented in hours or days instead.

How to enable or disable timestamps

To turn timestamps on or off on your account, follow the steps below:

  • Click on 'Settings' from the menu at the bottom left corner of any page on Chess.com and choose 'Live Chess' or 'Daily Chess,' depending on where you want to disable the timestamps

  • Navigate to the 'Timestamps' setting within the live or daily chess menu and toggle it to your liking

  • Click 'Save' to apply the changes!
