Sharing your perspective on a bug or issue can often be more effective than words alone. However, if you're unfamiliar with the process, taking a screenshot or recording your screen may not be straightforward, so here are some simple steps based on the device you're using:
How to take a screenshot
On Windows
Using the print screen (PrtScn) key
Press the PrtScn key on your keyboard. This captures the entire screen.
Open an image editor like Paint.
Press Ctrl + V to paste the screenshot.
Save the image by clicking File > Save As and choose your desired location and file format.
Using the snipping tool
Open the snipping tool by searching for it in the start menu.
Alternatively, you can press Windows Key + Shift + S.
Click 'New' to start a new screenshot.
Select the area you want to capture.
Save the screenshot by clicking File > Save As.
On macOS
Using the built-in capture tool (macOS Mojave and above):
Press Command + Shift + 5 to open the screen capture options.
Select whether to capture the entire screen, a specific window, or a selected portion using the icons highlighted in the image below.
If you choose to capture a window, hover your mouse cursor over it: The window will be highlighted, and your cursor will change to a camera. Simply click to take the screenshot.
If you're capturing a specific area of the screen, use the crosshair cursor to select the desired portion.
The screenshot will be saved on your desktop by default.
On Android
Using buttons
Simultaneously press and hold the Power button and the volume down button for about two seconds.
The screen will flash, indicating a screenshot has been taken.
The screenshot will be saved in your Photos or Gallery app.
Using gesture (if available)
Swipe three fingers down the screen to take a screenshot.
The screenshot will be saved in your Photos or Gallery app.
On iOS
For devices with a Home button
Press the Power button and the Home button simultaneously.
Release both buttons quickly.
The screen will flash, and the screenshot will be saved to your Photos app.
For devices without a Home button
Press the Power button and the volume up button simultaneously.
Release both buttons quickly.
The screen will flash, and the screenshot will be saved to your Photos app.
How to screen record
On Windows
Using the Xbox game bar (Windows 10 and above)
Press Windows Key + G to open the Xbox Game Bar.
Click on the capture widget (it looks like a camera icon).
Click the record button (a circle icon) to start recording your screen.
To stop recording, click the stop button in the capture widget, or press Windows Key + Alt + R.
The video will be saved in the Videos > Captures folder.
On macOS
Using the built-in screen recording tool (macOS Mojave and above):
Press Command + Shift + 5 to open the screen recording options.
Select whether to record the entire screen or a selected portion using the icons highlighted in the image below.
Click 'Record' to start recording.
To stop recording, click the stop button in the menu bar.
The video will be saved on your desktop by default.
On Android
Using the built-in screen recorder (Android 11 and above):
Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
Look for the screen recorder icon. If you don’t see it, you may need to swipe left or add it from the Quick Settings edit menu.
Choose if you want to record audio (microphone or device audio) and show touches on the screen.
Tap 'Start' or 'Start Recording.'

Videos over one minute may not be processed by your phone depending on your available phone storage.
On iOS
Using the built-in screen recorder
If you don't already have the screen recording option in your control center, go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls to add it.
Swipe down from the top-right corner (or swipe up from the bottom on older devices) to open the Control Center.
Tap the screen record icon (a circle inside another circle).
After a 3-second countdown, the recording will start.
To stop recording, open the Control Center again and tap the screen record icon, or tap the red status bar at the top and select 'Stop.'
The video will be saved in your gallery.
Videos over 1 minute may not be processed by your phone depending on your available phone storage.
