If you're playing with a friend who is much stronger or weaker than you, playing a balanced or odds game can make it more enjoyable for both players!
How to set up an Odds game
Hover over Play in the left side menu and click Play or click on New Game from the homescreen
Select Custom
Click Random to choose your opponent from a list of recent opponents or type in the username of the player you want to challenge
Click on Standard and then choose Custom Position / Odds from the dropdown menu
Choose the type of odds you want to play. By default, it's set to Auto Balance which adjusts based on the rating difference
Once you've made your selection, click Play to send your challenge!
Keep in mind
To play an odds game, your opponent must be on your friend list - you cannot play against a random member
Balanced and odds games are unrated!
