Vacation mode pauses your timer to help prevent you from losing games that have already started. This setting is useful when you are unable to move for an extended period and need to pause your games to avoid losing on time.

You can enable your vacation time on your Daily Chess settings page.

The 'unavailable' setting prevents you from being challenged or automatically matched to play new games. It stops other players from sending you game challenges or tournament invitations and can help limit the number of games you have ongoing at once.
