How to make moves on Chess.com
There are two ways to move the pieces, depending on your preference. These options are also available on the mobile app:
Drag pieces: Click and hold the piece, then drag it to the desired square.
Click squares: Click on the piece, then click again on the square you want to move it to.
If you have ‘Show Legal Moves’ enabled, when you click the piece you will see all the squares you can legally move it to.
💡 You can select your preferred move method and toggle the 'Show Legal Moves' option in your 'Board and Pieces' settings.
Pre-moving
