There are two ways to move the pieces, depending on your preference! You can either drag the pieces with your mouse, or click on the piece and then click again on its destination square.

If you have ‘ legal move dots’ enabled, when you click the piece you will see all the squares you can legally move it to.

These options are the same for the mobile app. You can tap the piece and then tap again, OR tap and hold, and drag to the square you want to move it to.

Another way to move that is popular in blitz and bullet games is pre-moving. This is when you make your move *before* the opponent has taken their turn! Read more about that here!
