Common issues like freezing, slowness, or odd behavior such as missing, extra, or repeated notifications can be fixed by clearing the cache and storage on the app.
How to clear the storage and cache on your device
Before following the steps below, please make sure you know your username and password. Clearing the storage and cache will log you out of the app, and you'll need to log in again as if you're opening the app for the first time
First, exit the Chess.com app, and find the app in your device's list of applications.
Tap and hold on the Chess.com app icon until the below menu appears and select βApp info:β
In the next menu, select βStorage & cache:β
Tap on both trash icons to delete both the storage and the cache. Again, be sure you know your password before you do this, as this will log you out of the app.
You can now open the app and log in with your username and password. The issue should be resolved! If it is not, you may want to try reinstalling the app completely.
