Excessive private messaging
| Sending large numbers of private messages can be considered spamming.
If you are using Chess.com normally, even if you communicate with many friends daily, you're unlikely to face any issues. |
Numerous forum posts or comments | While participating actively in forums is encouraged, posting a large number of forum messages or comments in a short time can be flagged as spam.
Regular users, even those highly active, generally will not encounter problems if they post responsibly. |
Nonsensical chat or comments | Posting comments or chat messages filled with random letters, spaces, or images disrupts conversations. This type of trolling is not tolerated and makes it difficult for others to follow discussions. |
Repeated draw offers | Some players attempt to disrupt a game by continuously offering a draw. This behavior is considered spamming and can lead to restrictions on your account. |
Excessive club invitations and friend requests | Only send club invites using the club interface. If someone declines your friend request, do not continue to send repeated requests. |
Club advertisements and auto-join links | Auto-join club links are not allowed. When advertising your club, ensure that it is relevant to the conversation. |
Repeated match or team match invitations | If someone does not wish to join a match or team, respect their decision and refrain from sending additional invitations. |
